If you desire to write your own life story or that of another but don’t know how to get started doing so, this workshop is for you. In the first part, I provide tips and techniques for getting started, offer ideas for the types of material that can be included, and show how I use timelines and outlines to design a book. In the second part, I explain various ways of organizing content and applying writing techniques to make it interesting. In the final part, I discuss interviewing, scanning and integrating photographs, and book printing. Throughout the workshop, class members have opportunities to share what they have written.
